Who is FAAS?
FAAS represents as European Association all players in the Automotive Aftermarket and brings
together over 46 of the most prominent representatives in the industry including suppliers of car
parts, systems and modules, parts distributors, workshops and service providers adjacent to the
value chain. FAAS is an initiative founded by the European associations CLEPA and FIGIEFA to
create a platform for stakeholders to exchange on the development and implementation of
common practices and measures to transform the Automotive Aftermarket to become a more
sustainable industry.
The role
FAAS is looking to hire a manager to work at the Brussels headquarters. We are looking for
someone with passion for sustainability who has experience in either a sustainability-related role or
in the automotive aftermarket.
The ideal candidate will steer and administrate all activities inside FAAS and coordinate the
internal and external communication. This also includes member development and the
representation of FAAS in external events and to media.
The main tasks are:
- Administration: Organisation of BoD meetings, General Assembly, budget control,
documentation, audits and secretariat tasks.
- Membership development (member retention and new member generation).
- Steering the working groups (currently 4 + 1 newly created group) regarding compliance,
selection of topics, progress jointly with the respective chairs.
- Identification of relevant topics for members and the initiative.
- Coordination of the internal communication to members.
- Coordination of the external communication. This includes the positioning of the FAAS in
the context of topics related to sustainability and speaking roles at aftermarket related
events to promote the working results and commitments achieved in the working groups as
industry wide standards.
- Preparation of promotion materials that can be used by members.
- Development and provision of member services e.g. webinars for sustainability related
topics.
- Proactive evaluation of collaboration with stakeholders related to sustainability.
- Monthly financial analysis of the FAAS’s expenses versus budget, forecasting and budget
preparation.
- Reconciliation of the bank account on a monthly basis.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a passionate person with a strong interest in and affinity to the automotive
aftermarket, sustainability, communication and administrative skills.
Desired profile:
- University degree in a relevant field
- Experience and interest in the automotive aftermarket and/or sustainability
- Skilled in interacting with people and experience with coalition building
- Attention to detail and ability to analyse and draft concise documents
- Professional level in writing and speaking English
- Clear communicator and flexible team player
